So- I actually got tagged back in October, but since my internet was not working for the entire month of November, I am just now responding. It's too bad I cannot write 7 weird things about my kids. They are the weirdest people I know. I don't think you realize how weird you are until you see some of your mannerisms reflected in your children. Also- I had a hard time thinking of things about myself that were weird, but not so weird that you all would have me committed- just weird enough. Anyway- here goes...1- When I was little, I had this phobia of germs. I would wash my hands a million times a day. Every time I washed them, I would have to sing the ABC's through 3 times. I would scrub my hands so much they would bleed.
2- I can talk backwards. My dad loves to show this off anywhere I go. It is just some random talent I realized I had when I was little. os rof lla fo uoy ohw erahs eht tnelat, yojne gnidaer siht.
3- I used to be some kind of child prodigy. A genius, some might say. I was reading at a 12th grade reading level in second grade, and playing the piano way above the normal level for my age. And then somehow, I barely graduated high school. I keep trying to ask my parents what happened to me, but they just laugh awkwardly and change the subject.
4- I can beat box. YES, it is that weird thing that rappers do to make their own background music. I have no idea how I started doing it. I didn't really even know I could. I just remember daydreaming one day and Brian interrupting me by saying, "Were you just beat boxing Vanilla Ice?" And yes, for all of you that were wondering that is my favorite song to beat box to. Kairi catches me doing it sometimes when I am cleaning my house or doing something mindless. And now, thanks to an episode of "YO GABBA, GABBA!" She thinks she can do it too!
5- I have what I like to lovingly refer to as my third boob. It is actually just my rib cage on one side that sticks out further then the other side. I never knew why exactly, until a few years ago, I was diagnosed with Scoliosis and the doctor said it can sometimes shift all your bones on one side and make them protrude.
6- I went through this weird phase where I had the strangest crush on Rick Moranis. Yes, you are reading this correctly. Rick Moranis. You know, the guy from "Little Shop of Horrors", "Honey, I shrunk the Kids" and the Ghostbuster movies. Please, no cracks on how he resembles my husband.
He actually hears from a LOT of people how much he reminds them of Chandler Bing. Ha! HA! He will kill me for posting that. When we were dating- I used to tell him he was SO like Chandler. Not just in looks, but mannerisms too. A few years later, he heard it from a friend and then from a co-worker and a few others. He HATES that!!! See the resemblance?

7- I stopped eating meat when I was 10 because of the books, "The Jungle" and "Animal Farm." Both books are actually political commentaries about socialism and communism, both hugely symbolic. But reading them as a 10-year-old-kid, I didn't pick up so much on the symbolism. Just the bloody, animal guts parts. My parents would not allow me to convert to all-out vegetarianism, so we compromised with NO RED MEAT. I lived that way for 10 years!!! I picked up on all out vegetarianism for a while, until I was having a hard time getting pregnant and I learned (thanks to an episode of Law & Order- but later confirmed by my doctor) that soy is a natural birth control. So I had to give up the vegetarianism to try to have a baby, and have not been able to afford to go back since (it's an expensive lifestyle).
And one more for good measure- I cannot watch ANYTHING violent. Scary movies and thrillers (HUGE FORMER CSI FAN) did not used to bother me ( I laughed all the way through "The Ring"), but when I got pregnant with Rae, I became the biggest baby and would have nightmares over a scary episode of Dora the Explorer. I don't know what happened to me! Something just snapped in my brain and I gave up watching any of that kind of junk ( even CSI)!!! I'll stick with "The Office" :)
Anyway- I tag Stacie, Chels and Janet! Hee hee!!!

Oh Kim I just love you! I didn't know you could beat box! I have got to see that! Really, Rick Moranis? I never knew! Those are the two of your quirks I hadn't heard before. And yes...I see the Brian and Chandler similarites :)
I am glad you finally did this tag, I knew you would have some good ones. I have always thought Brian looked and acted just like Chandler, but if it makes him mad don't tell him.
