You gotta love it baby...

One of Kairi's favorite things to do has always been to watch the Jazz games with daddy. Much to Kairi's dismay, daddy was always going to the games with Papa Larry, and she was never quite big enough to tag along... until a couple of weeks ago...

That's right! Santa slipped Kairi her very own ticket to a Jazz game in her stocking and we all got to go at the end of January.

First- we all had to get all "jazzed out" in our best attire....

(Rae did not get to go to the game with us, but she insisted on being part of the festivites by getting all dressed up with face painting and all... by the way- on the way to game, someone at the drug store stopped to tell me what cute twins I had!!! SO FUNNY on so many levels! They are only 25 months apart among other differences! I just smiled and said "thank you!" hahah)

Even Uncle Jon joined in the fun....

And what's a sporting event without some junk food?

And some quality lap time with Papa?

We tried to convince Kairi to do some crazy dancing so she would end up on the jumbotron....
This face is a result of my constant nagging...

AND the Jazz win it!!!! YAY!!!!
I think the whole evening was more fun than she could handle....

New Year's Eve...

To celebrate New Year's Eve, we had Brian's family over for some games and sushi. But, of course the kids favorite part of the evening was spending some time with Aunt Jenni. Jenni even got all dressed up with them to play "Bella Dancerella!"

The King Family Christmas Party

This year, with Brian's family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandpa) we had a "Christmas Around the World" themed party. It was a lot of fun. Here are the kids learning the hula:

Then we shared Christmas traditions from around the world...
But, the life of the party was definitely my little Raegan...
Here she is trying to steal the spotlight from her Grandpa by telling all the other kdis to smell her feet...

We had lots of fun doing the Chicken Dance with Brian's grandpa. A big tradition in our family... Bri's granpda is 85 or so and actually teaches dance classes!!!
He is one of my favorite people. Anyone who has benefited from one of my quilts has Grandpa King to thank for that. He taught me how to do it and even made me my own quilt frames.

Did a little limbo...

Next, I read a Christmas story from Russia called "A Christmas Bell for Anya." If you have not read it, I highly recommend it. It is a beautiful story with incredible illustrations. My mother-in-law says it's the same author as the "Great and Terrible" series... have not read that yet, but it is on my list.
But the best part was this- my mother-in-law really wanted one spiritual, Christ-centered portion to our party, so I told her I would read this beautiful book. Just as I was getting to the spiritual climax and started tearing up, leave it to Raegan to kill the mood... She blurts out loudly and VERY clearly, "Did my mommy just say dammit?!?!?"
I could not think of anything to say but "NO!!! I definitely did not just say that!" It took me a while to regain my composure after that. I couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation...
The best part is that Bri's family is really quite churchy. Had this happened with my family, it would not have been a big deal at all. My dad probably would have saved me by saying," what the hell did she just say?!?" But alas, no such luck!!! i can always count on Rae for an embarrassing moment!

Here she is being weird again...

She was really quite pleased with her very own Rudolph costume creation...

And what would a "Christmas around the world" party be without a pinata...

All

All in all, it really was a fun evening, pinatas, hulas, embarrassing two-year-olds and all!

Lazy Days in Grandma's Garden

We spent a lot of nights helping out in Grandma King's garden. We can't complain though... we got a lot of yummy food from it and had some fun playing with the family at the same time!
Kairi and Aunt Jenni

Cute Cousins...

Camping fit for King's...

This summer, we packed up the entire King family, and went on a camping trip. We had so much fun spending time with everybody!
We had craft time...

Sometime during craft time, Kairi got creative with the markers, and made herself look like Pancho Villa....
Made cobbler...

Bri sometimes like to steal my camera and take some candid pictures of our sweet girls. This is Kairi with Daddy's cowboy hat...

The girls loved playing with Uncle Jeff's puppy, Tyke.

And of course, what a camping trip with my in-laws be without our horses?!?
Me & my little Rodeo Queen taking Grainger to ride the range...

This is the infamous trip for Rae.... the first time she rode the horse! Yay Raegan!
Saying goodbye to Aunt Jenni...

Super Cooper's Super Birthday

My cousin Stacie's little boy, Cooper turned 4 in August and he had the MOST SUPER, super hero birthday party ever! Seriously- for any of you who have been to one of my kids parties and think they are over the top.... prepare to be amazed. This little hostess should seriously have her own TV show!
Here are all the kiddos posing for a super hero picture (Stacie made all these masks)
Here are all the little crime-fighters showing off their super capes ( again Stacie made one of these for each of the kids at the party!!!!- where does she find the time?!?) She is now selling these on her biz blog- www.befickle.blogspot.com

These are the party favors

This was the treat table...

Hand-made decorations...
All hand-made decorations... my cousin, Josh painted all of this... AMAZING, huh?!?!

The whole party was themed around super hero training. So- they had a silly string fight...

This is my Uncle Keith, Coop's Grandpa dressed up as the Incredible Hulk... aren't Grandpa's great?

Kairi had to clean off Grandma Claudia after the chaos that was the silly string fight...

Rae had fun just chillin' with her favorite person.. hopping with papa!

Kairi had to learn to shoot some bad guys!

This isn't even half of the fun.... i just didn't take enough pictures. Seriously-keep your eye out for the next Martha Stewart..." The Stacie Hill Show"
