Don't Call Me Junior...

My nephew's 8th birthday is today. He and his 6-year-old brother share a room. These little boys are the cutest "Indiana Jones" fans you will ever see. My sister wanted to decorate their room "Indiana Jones" themed. I searched high and low for fabric to match the theme, but to no avail. So- this is what I ended up with for his birthday quilt!

Luckily, the boys liked it. It was pretty funny though... Xavi is quite the perfectionist and the first thing he said (after the initial shrieks of excitement) was "Let me see how you did his hands
..." - as if he were checking my work for accuracy...!!!

Hooded Towels

OKay- I wanted to offer my latest project to family & friends for a discounted price. I can do these hooded towels in most colors, so let me know what you want. I can do this basic hooded towel for $4.
And this embellished hooded towel, I can do for $8.

Tell me the colors of your bathroom or your kids swimsuits, let me know if you want embellishments, or just plain and I would be happy to do some for you! Just help me out by spreading the word about this great baby shower gift idea!

ERRR... Blogger is frustrating sometimes

Okay- so I went for the whole 3-column template thing. I have attempted this several times in the past, but never suceeded. Well, obviously I FINALLY got it- kind of- still not perfect, but I lost all my widgets in the process. Luckily, I was able to find most of your blogs again so I could put them on here and see what you all are up to, but I lost some of you and cannot seem to find you in my internet history. If you read my blog and are not on my blog list, please let me know so I can post you on here.. Mari??? anyone else?!?!

Thinking Green...

I know I am a little pre-emptive with this St. Patty's Day Theme. What can I say? There were several factors that led me to this ever-so-Irish background.
A- my mother-in-law had all of her March decorations up at her house and I felt inspired.
B- I have been making my own backgrounds and apparently I have ADD... I hope you all got to see my last one! It was my favorite!!!
C- The kids seem to have misplaced the remote control for the TV in my bedroom. So, while I was all set to watch last night's DVRed "ER", I couldn't!!! And don't worry I am not some brainless person who cannot live without television or computer. I just have already read for a few hours today-" Wuthering Heights". SUPER good! Just needed a change of pace.

So- I hope you all enjoy my all-too-festive allbeit a little early ST. PATRICK'S DAY Blog Explosion...

Hugs, Kisses & Candy Hearts

Decorating cakes & cookies is one of my favorite things to do.- or at least it USED to be... I haven't done cookies like this for a couple of years!!! That seems crazy!!! I just can't ever seem to find the time now that Kairi has a trusty partner in crime, Raegan. Anyway- I decided I was going to make some sugar cookies for Valentine's Day this year. I had forgotten what a process this was. It took me -sadly- a couple of days to get through the entire process. You can tell I got lazy at the end with some of the cookies in this pictures. OH WELL!!! I did about 3 dozen. At least I can say I am DONE!!! Kairi's cousins better enjoy 'em!!!

One project done... a MILLION to go!!!

I FINALLY finished my nephew's birthday present. He turned one back in November. It only took me 3 extra months to finish the dang thing! My sister and her family just moved to their new home in Spanish Fork (pause to control my sobs), so for Charlie's birthday, I decided to make some housewarming gifts. I made a quilt and some pictures with the planes, trains & automobiles theme. Hope you guys enjoy them! LOVE and MISS you MUCH!!!

PHEW!!! Turned out to be a bigger project than I anticipated. Embroidering each little letter and picture, but it is done and I think it turned out pretty cute!!!

Are you SO excited about your Jazz blanket?!?!?

This year for Christmas, I decided to really emphasize the importance of GIVING, not just GETTING with Kairi. We sat down together and made a list of everyone she would like to give a gift to. Of course, first on her list was her daddy. I asked her what she thought daddy might like and without ANY hesitation, she answered, "a JAZZ blanket." She knows Daddy loves the Jazz and she has this thing with blankies so in her mind, it was the ultimate present.

One day, while running some errands with daddy Kairi enthusiastically asked him, "Daddy, are you SO excited about your JAZZ blanKET?" Of course- the surprise was gone!! Oh well! We all sat down together Friday night, and while daddy watched the Jazz game, we worked on his blanket. Kairi was such a big girl, and did much of the work herself!!! GOOD JOB BABY!!!! Don't mind the mess in the background. I babysat my nephew that day and the three kids ALWAYS manage to ransack my house!!!

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PARTY

So- anyone who knows me, knows what a big huge dorky fanatic I am when it comes to planning kids birthday parties! Well- Shel was kind enough to let me head up the party planning commitee for Allie's 6th birthday- High School Musical style! The evening was complete with a red carpet entrance, a theater style performing area, pom poms and what HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL party would be complete without our family making fools of ourselves and rockin' out the KARAOKE!!!
