Kairi's Hair cut

So- several months ago, Kairi approached me with the following, completely random conversation:
Kairi: "Mom, I don't want my hair to look like Cinderella anymore. I want it to look like Belle."
After a quick moment to ponder what on earth she was talking about, I responded: "You don't want to have yellow hair anymore?"
Kairi: "No, I like my yellow hair."
Mommy: "Oh, well then, what do you mean?"
Kairi:" I don't want it to look like this anymore," she said pointing to her bangs. Then, pulling her bangs back away from her face, she said, "I want it to look like this."
Mommy:"Oh! You don't want bangs anymore?"
Kairi: "Yes. No bangs."
It's amazing how kids come to these conclusions and opionions all by themselves. So, wanting my daughter to be happy, and be whom she wanted to be, we spent the next several months pinning bangs back and attempting to grow them out. Of course, this decision of hers came days after a fresh new haircut with her bangs "a little shorter than usual" at mommy's request. Anyway- all that pinning and trying to figure out new and cute ways to keep her bangs out of her face got waring after a while, and today, I reached my breaking point. We went to Aunt Lisa's and chopped her chin-length, several months worth of growth, bangs off.

She's the cuttest no matter what her hair is doing! But, I believe, it's your legal right to change it up from time to time...your the mom. I say do what you like...while you still can. She'll be a teenager one of these days and decide your opinion no longer counts :) ...oh dreaded day!

P.S. Horray for the PT (potty training). I like the party idea...I may have to steal! Our problem is exactally the opposite of yours...we can't see to get the pee in the pot?!?
