A Christmas to remember...

This Christmas truly was a memorable one. We woke up Christmas morning to a mouse in our play room. AAAHHH!!! Luckily., Brian is not nearly so chicken as me and he took it outside. Then, all morning Kairi complained about her belly not feeling well. We figured thought that was just due to the fact that we were up at 7 that morning and didn't make it to breakfast with Grandma King until 11- and I am sure there was some pre-breakfast stocking snacking snuck in there somewhere (try to say that three time fast- stocking snacking snuck, stocking snacking snuck, stocking, snacking snuck).

But, much to our dismay- and I am sure even more to Kairi's, it was not just the Christmas excitement that had her stomach in knots. She barfed her weight in Christmas breakfast on the way to Grandma Claudia's. The poor thing ended up spending Christmas Day at home with daddy while mommy and Raegan attended the family festivities. I am such a boob too! I cried a few times that afternoon because I missed my sweet daughter. Luckily, she is feeling better and has enjoyed all of her presents since then!!! (at this point in the season, my tree was a bit sparse because my kids kept picking off my decorations...)

Kairi MORE THAN ANYTHING this year, wanted a High School Musical dollhouse. Unfortunately, Santa was not willing to pay the $140 Toys R us wanted for it. So, daddy spent countless hours building her one. This is the finished product...

"There is no sadder thing than to wake up Christmas morning and no longer be a child." I can't remember who said that, but it is so true. Nothing beats that sweet smile!!!!
