go aWAY HAIR!!!!!!!!

So- last Thursday, all day, I noticed Kairi kept flipping her beautiful, waist-length hair behind her back. She got progressively more agitated throughout the day until, by the end of the day she yelled" go aWAY HAIR!!!" When I asked her what the problem was, she told me that her hair kept getting in the way or her coloring, and in her food, and in her mouth when she was trying to eat.... etc. She said "it's better if I put my hair in my shirt like this," as she demonstrated tucking her hair into the collar of her t-shirt. "Maybe I should cut it short so it is on my shoulders, like Allie's."
Well....mommy was not too thrilled about this idea. Kairi is one of those people that is just MEANT to have long hair. It is beautiful and thick and perfectly straight and shiny. Anyway- we talked about it and decided to set up a "haircut appointment" with aunt Lisa and then we could decide what to do.
That appointment was today. Kairi had been talking about "cutting her hair short" all week, telling everyone and seeming SO excited about it. It took several days, but even I came to terms with the idea.
When we got there however, Kairi's enthusiasm faded and she was reluctant to even get in the chair- poor thing. But she decided to go for it after all. Of course- as mommy was taking "before" pictures of her gorgeous hair, and the momentous occasion, I realized I had forgotten my memory card... AAAAHhhhhh!!!!
So- long story short- the hair is GONE! And I've no pictures to show for it YET. I will get those up soon, but in the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the most recent pictures I have of my daughter's no longer existent, waist-length hair...

Her new 'do is ADORABLE- of course (thanks Lisa) so i will post pics ASAP!! What can I say? My daughter is irresistibly adorable no matter what she does!!!
