Okay, okay. So, we didn't go with the traditional romantic celebration of Valentine's Day this year. We assumed EVERYONE would be going out and it would be impossible to get a sitter and nearly as impossible to get in to eat anywhere. So, we packed the kids in the car, and headed to the bowling lanes.
Now- before you go thinking how LAME we are, let me inform you we also went out to a nice 5 star lunch at Costa Vida. I know! BIG SPENDERS, aren't we?!?
Anyway- it turned out to be a really fun outing for the family. The girls had a blast! We all are incredibly HORRIBLE at bowling though. I haven't been bowling all that much, so I wasn't even sure what a "good"score was. All I know is that the people next to us all bowled between a 132 and a 294. Our scores were a little different... I won with a 132. Brian scored a 99. hahah! Sorry babe! Rae scored a 95, and Kairi ended up with a 93. The best part of these pathetic scores is that this was all done WITH bumpers!!! hahahah... we STINK!!!
It was pretty fun though. On the way there, Kairi kept talking about how "first we could do bowling, and then maybe some baseball, and then tennis, and then golf." And no! My daughter is not some kind of sports aficionado. She thought we were going to play "Wii Sports." hahahah. That is the only kind of bowling she had ever done. Boy! was she surprised to walk in and see something like this existed in "real life..."
