So- our house has been a major project. We bought an acre and in so doing may have bit off a little more than we could chew. We have been working endlessly to prepare the land for our Mustang, Grainger to come and live with us. We actually managed to make some headway this summer. We got the pasture -which was once home to a really old motorcycle, a 1980's limousine that had been repurposed into a weed planter (seriously. the thing had weeds growing out of every imaginable crevace), a carpet extractor, I can't even remember what else, possibly a couple dead bodies, who knows?- cleared out and actually planted some pasture grass seed. So- Grainger came to live with us and eat down some of our lovely pasture. Unfortunately, we were so busy this summer with trek and a million other things, our "lovely pasture" soon became an 8 foot high weed jungle and Grainger had to back with Brian's parents horses.
The girls really loved having her there too! They had to say good morning to her every day before breakfast and say goodnight to her ever night before bed time! Kairi would go out with Brian and just ride bare back! She is such a little rodeo queen! Anyway- hopefully Grainger will be back permanently next year!
