This is my husband's brother, Jeff, and his adorable fiance, Ashley.
This is my hubby, Brian....

For years, and years EVERYONE has gotten these two mixed up. While Jeff was on his mission, girls would come up to Brian and start hitting on him....

He would awkwardly have to say,

"I'm not Jeff. I'm his brother, Brian."

hahahah! It was always pretty funny to witness.

Especially cause I was always standing nearby with a big, fat wedding ring on my finger!

Also while Jeff was on his missionn, our sweet daughter, Kairi entered our lives, was adopted, sealed to us and grew to be a sweet almost-two-year-old who had never seen her uncle before.

For the first several weeks after Jeff got home, Kairi could not stop calling him, "Daddy."

She just could not tell the difference between them!

I can definitely see the resemblence, but I just do no think they look THAT much alike!

But, I recently took some engagement pictures of Jeff and Ashley and I was editing a few while at Sunday dinner at my parents with all my nieces and nephews.

My sweet little 7-year-old-niece, Allie watched with great concern as I was editing a picture that looked something like this:

She just stared for several minutes as I worked away. Finally, she got up the courage to say,
"Kim, that girl kinda looks like you, but I don't think it's you."
I did not follow what she was driving at so I just replied,
"No. It's not me, It's Ashley."
This response seemed to deepen the concern on her poor little face.
Finally, I understood what was going on here.
She thought my husband, her uncle, was kissing some other girl, and I was just nonchalantly editing it like it was no big deal!
I laughed and said," Sweetie, that's Brian's brother, Jeff, and his fiance, Ashley. That's not Brian."
"Oh!" She said, "I thought it was Brian!"
hahahahahaahahah! Gave me a good laugh!

HAHAH! That's funny! Sometimes Brooke's kids think I'm her. I don't mind though, because 1. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL and 2. It gets me more hugs and kisses from my nephews! HAHA!
