Green Eggs....

Kairi has been working really hard on her reading. I am so proud of her! She is doing a great job~
So- we packed up and went to the library the other day. One of the books we got was a book about "Little Bo Peep."
When Kairi read it, she kinda got ahead of herself and mistakenly read the title as "Little Bo PEE PEE." Well- due to a severe lack of sleep these past few... weeks?... years...? I dunno... I have been suffering from a horrible case of the giggles. The STUPIDEST things are hilarious to me!
So- naturally when Kairi said ,"Little Bo PEE PEE," I lost all control. I could not even stop myself... BAD MOM! BAD MOM!
My poor girl threw her library book in frustration and said, "I CAN'T read!" I quickly gained my composure and assured her that she was doing a great job and that most 4-year-olds did not know how to read yet. Of course, this did not console her. The damage had been done. POOR THING! BAD MOM! She just cried and cried and it all broke my heart.
After trying all different approaches to console, I realized re-direction was the way to go. I got another one of the library books and told her I would read to her for a change(give the poor thing a little break). So- we read the Dr. Seuss classic, "GREEN EGGS & HAM" and decided the only way she could feel 100% better was if she had some green eggs for dinner (we were fresh out of ham).... SO...

We grabbed some of this...
a few of these...

put them together....

and ended up with something like this...

We put together all of this dinner while Brian was having a nap, so we decided it would be fun to play a little trick on him...
We hid his GREEN EGGS in a burrito...

And brought it to him in bed! BOY! Was he surprised when he bit into a GREEN EGGS burrito!
And the girls thought the whole thing was HILARIOUS!!!
