Movie Review...

We have started a tradition lately, to watch a movie together as a family every Friday night. We call it "Friday Family Movie Night" and it has been lots of fun!

I just wanted to say a few things about some movies I have LOVED for my kids and others I have HATED!!!

Unfortunately, "The Lightning Thief" is one I HATED! It is rated PG, so I thought it would be fine to watch as a family. I was WRONG! I thought it was horribly violent, and had sexual inuendos every 10 seconds! I was so disappointed! I have not read the books, but have heard them compared to Harry Potter, which I LOVE!!! So- I was excited to see the movie, but again, just thought it was disgusting, poorly acted, and over-all just DUMB!!!

This movie, however, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!!! I was a little bit hesitant to watch this one with my kids, because I thought it might have a lot of potty language and humor that was way over their heads, but IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!! Brian and I were just rolling on the ground laughing! The humor in it reminded me of "A Christmas Story" (which is another of our favorites!) So- if you like that movie, you have to try this one! SO FUNNY!!!
Just giving fair warning- there is one part where the kid accidentally pees on his brother who jumps out from a shower curtain to scare him- but that is the only questionable part!
AN INSTANT KING FAMILY CLASSIC!
I think I am going to buy the book and the movie for my kids for Christmas! SO FUNNY!!!
